Checking breakdown set  
Note  
Breakdown set is located in luggage compartment.  
The breakdown set contains also a tyre sealant bottle with  
sealant.  
4.40.1  
Checking expiry date  
– Check the expiry date and enter this in maintenance table.  
The expiry date is printed on a sticker on the tyre sealant container  
-arrow-.  
– Renew tyre sealant if the expiry date has been reached. (The  
tyre sealant must not be more than 4 years old.)  
Note  
If the tyre sealant has already been used, it must be renewed.  
Observe environmental regulations for disposal.

Tyres (including spare wheel): Checking  
condition and wear pattern  
Note  
For safety reasons, only tyres of same type and tread pattern  
should be fitted on a vehicle!  
4.41.1  
Checking condition  
Carry out following procedure:  
Delivery inspection:  
– Check tyre treads and side walls for damage and remove for‐  
eign bodies such as, for example, nails or glass splinters.  
Note  
If damage is determined, always check to see if a new tyre should  
be fitted.  
Inspection service:  
– Check tyre treads and side walls for damage and remove for‐  
eign bodies such as, for example, nails or glass splinters.  
– Check tyres for cupping, one-sided wear, porous side walls,  
cuts and punctures.  
Note  
The customer must be informed of any faults found.
