Removing and installing trim

Removal and installation are described for left side of vehicle as

an example.

Removing

– Use commercially available plastic wedge to unclip trim pan‐

el -2- from door trim -1-.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.

Removing and installing front door trim

Special tools and workshop equipment required

♦ Wedge - T10383-

Removal and installation are described for the left side of vehi‐

cle as an example.

Removing

– Remove trim ⇒ Rep. gr. 70 ; Removing and installing trim .

– Unscrew bolts -1-.

– Unscrew bolt -1-.

– Release rotary clip -2- by turning it 90° in direction of

-arrow-.

– Use wedge - T10383- to release clips -2-.

– Pull front door trim -1- upwards out of window slot inner seal.

NOTICE

Risk of damage to the Bowden cable due to deformation.

– Do not bend or kink the Bowden cable.

– Unclip Bowden cable -1-.

– Move Bowden cable -1- until ball head -2- can be removed

upwards.

– Disconnect electrical connectors.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

– Turn locking mechanism from position -2- to position -1-.

Important

•

The front door trim can only be installed when the locking

mechanism is in position -1-.

If a new door trim has been installed:

– Using suitable tool, make hole for additional equipment.

Removing and installing mirror cover

Removal and installation are described for the left side of vehi‐

cle as an example.

Removing

– Remove front door trim ⇒ Rep. gr. 70 ; Removing and

installing front door trim .

– Unclip mirror cover trim -2- from door frame -1- using com‐

mercially available plastic wedge.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.

Removing

– Use a commercially available plastic wedge to unclip trim

for upper button -1- in direction of -arrow-, and pull it off far

enough to gain access to electrical connector.

– Disconnect electrical connector.

– Remove trim for upper button -1-.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.

Removing

– Use a commercially available plastic wedge to unclip trim

for lower button -1- in direction of -arrow-, and pull it off far

enough to gain access to electrical connector.

– Disconnect electrical connector.

– Remove trim for lower button -1-.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.
