Removing

– Release retaining clips -2- using a commercially available

plastic wedge, and remove dash panel end cover -1-.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

– Restore sealing lip of door seal to installation position.

end cover, front passenger side

Removal and installation are described for a left-hand drive

vehicle as an example.

Removing

– Release retaining clips -3- with a commercially available

plastic wedge, and pull off dash panel end cover -1- far

enough to gain access to electrical connector.

– Disconnect electrical connector -2-.

– Remove dash panel end cover -1-.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

– Restore sealing lip of door seal to installation position.

Special tools and workshop equipment required

♦ removal wedge set - VAS 895 015-

The dash panel trim on driver side will henceforth be referred to

as “trim panel”.

Removal and installation are described for a left-hand drive

vehicle as an example.

Removing

– Lever off trim panel -1- using removal wedge from removal

wedge set - VAS 895 015- , and remove it.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.
