– Expose inner door seal in area of step insert -1-.
– Unclip step insert -1- using commercially available plastic
wedge, and detach it.

Installing
Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:
– Make sure that step insert is located in the beading of the
inner door seal.

Removal and installation are described for the left side of vehi‐
cle as an example.
Removing
– Remove front step insert ⇒ Rep. gr. 70 ; Removing and
installing front sill panel moulding, step insert .
– Remove seat frame of front seat ⇒ Rep. gr. 72 ; Removing
and installing front seat, seat frame .
– Unclip step reinforcement -1- using commercially available
plastic wedge, and detach it.
